Renound West Clare Musician Visits Harrington’s
We’re honored to have Dympna O’Sullivan join Terry Weir’s trad session this Wednesday in the pub. The concertina play from West Clare in Ireland has been described as “a fabulous concertina player” with “a gentle style” and as “a very expressive, emotionally subtle player…” Dympna is much admired for her playing by other musicians as well as her audience.
Here’s a sampling of her music from her CD Bean Chairdin available at Custy’s.
We understand Dympna will be around until early January. We hope to hear more from her at Harrington’s and elsewhere. Here’s a video clip of Dympna playing a solo at the Bosotn Comhaltas monthly session in Watertown recently.
