2013 Harrington’s Pub Road Race at Lake Quannapowitt

Harrington’s Pub Road Race October 14th 2013

sneakersIt’s only August now, but soon the leaves on the trees at Lake Quannapowitt will be turning bright with colors and we’re anticipating the 3rd Annual Harrington’s Pub Road Race to benefit Wakefield High School’s Cross Country/Track & Field Boosters. It takes place on Columbus Day, Monday, October 14th, 2013.

Harrington's Pub Road Race October 14th 2013There is a One-Mile Fun Run at 9:30AM preceding the 5K Road Race starting at 10AM. Medals will be awarded to top finishers in each category. Numbers will be distributed at the start on the day of the race.

The Race Course

Everybody meets up at Lake Quannapowitt at Church and Main Streets, Wakefield, MA

The 9:30 Fun Run for Kids  and the 10AM Road Race both start and end at Church and Main Streets. Get directions here. Look for The Bandstand at the Lower Town Commons area.

Register for the Race

There are two easy ways to register:

Entry Fees:

  • Road Race Fee: $25.00 (Includes a Harrington’s Road Race T-Shirt)
  • Fun Run Fee:     $15 (Includes a Harrington’s Road Race T-Shirt)

    Beautiful weather and course for today’s event! I also greatly appreciate the rapid email with results. HOwever, the pace indicated in the results was total fiction!
    The race could be improved in two ways 1) mile markers please! That’s how serious runners achieve good times 2) there were several tense moments between runners and strollers on the path by the pond. The strollers totally blocked the path in several places and yelled at us to run in the street. But the street was scary with all the cars. Shouldn’t be too hard to find a solution to this. Thanks
